Happened March 18, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA.
The "victim" was 21-year-old Madison Dickson, a very troubled young woman.
She was wanted after several crimes in the Tulsa area, many of which were shootings.
Officer Jonathan Grafton is the officer who ran her over.
He, Officer Kayla Johnson and Detective Ronnie Letherman fired shots at her during the incident.
Cops had spent several days looking for her after multiple shootings. One was an incident where she shot a guy in the head two days prior after asking him for a ride and then trying to steal his car. He survived and is recovering.
Before that, she fired her gun at a Walgreens and a Best Buy store, and pointed it at employees in a movie theater. She's also believed to have connections to the "Irish Mob gang".
It started, at least in part, according to her family, when she tried and failed to get clean. They had told cops that she wouldn't be taken alive.
She turned and pointed her weapon at officers at least three times.
None of the officers' shots hit the suspect.
The officer ran into her to "stop the threat".
She died later.
The three cops are on leave until the criminal and internal investigations are finished. This is expected in all police-related deaths.
The district attorney will determine whether the use of force was justified.
